Introspection

The contemplative life is always watching and listening. Quiet time is very good. Busy time is very good. Responding is very good. But the very best time to learn about yourself is when you react. Your life is exactly the school you need to learn what you want to learn. Why the hell did I do that? Try to stay out of shame and blame and look at it like a chemical reaction. Be as a scientist observing this life. Isn't that interesting? This was the situation and this was my mood or motivation or fear or desire and look what I did. Notice where you brought love or where you went looking for it or where you were afraid of losing it or where you couldn't find it. Your real nature is love. Only this idea of a person thinks you need to control it.
